I am a board-certified Psychiatrist and Psychoanalyst/therapist with almost 20 years of experience. As a top psychiatrist in Madison Ave. in New York, New York (NY), I offer both psychotherapy and medication management in a safe and secure atmosphere.

I have successfully used my expertise to treat psychiatric disorders including depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, OCD, emotional disturbances such as irritability. I also specialize in psychotherapy of personality disorders, such as Borderline and Narcissistic Personalities. My training in psychoanalysis provides me with the skills to treat patients that are interested in an in-depth treatment with more continuity.

My primary goal is to alleviate the pain and suffering for my patients through compassionate and focused care. Hence my approach is to work collaboratively with each of my patients, exploring their individual needs and aiming for more fulfilling relationships. I treat each patient with the highest level of empathy, respect, and confidentiality to foster a welcoming and open atmosphere. I work with each patient to create a personalized treatment plan that works best for their individual needs and lifestyle.

I obtained my medical degree in 1998 from the University of Zurich, Switzerland. I was a resident at the Psychiatric University Hospital Zurich, Switzerland from 1999 - 2003. After completing my psychiatry residency at New York Medical College (2003 - 2007) I worked as the attending psychiatrist in the outpatient department at St. Vincent's Hospital Westchester from 2007 - 2011. I graduated from the Columbia University Center for Psychoanalytic Research and Training in 2013.

Apart from my current private practice as a psychiatrist and psychoanalyst/therapist; I am also an instructor at Columbia Psychoanalytic Center and assistant professor at NYMC.
